The Art of Commitment Painting
In Michelangelo’s painting of God reaching out to man, we see the determined hand of God and the lackadaisical hand of Adam. I wanted to portray a more mutual relationship in which both willing partners covenant with each other, for better or for worse. This original acrylic on canvas shows a union of Man to God, Christ and the church, and man to woman. The piece is on canvas, dry mounted and set in a white mat, and framed in a gold 20×24” frame. The words “I Do and I Do Too” are written in gold on the piece.
