Curbside Color
My daughter and her friends work at a local Homeless Alliance initiative called Curbside. They work alongside local folks getting back on their feet. The florists learn life skills and have community in a sunny flower shop in downtown Oklahoma City. The girls brought me a gorgeous bouquet for my Easter table and that was the inspiration for this painting.
Curbside Color is a 22×26” painting on paper. It was created on craft paper that was formerly a table covering for my studio. I love the random marks and drips under the painting that inform the final piece. A variety of flowers radiate from the piece which were all informed from the marks made from months of studio creations.
The painting is dry mounted and framed in a gorgeous white frame.
