Hope Is Alive Mixed Media Hearts in Table Top Frames
Hope is Alive! This series was created in the Summer of 2025. I had a weekend to myself and spent days in the studio looking through paintings and paint palettes that I had saved and combined them with my beautiful hand made marbled papers. I wanted to play and try new things. I gave myself the freedom to use different mediums, make mistakes and create without expectation. Here is the result! I’m so proud of each one and the connection they have to my growth and creative process. Some of the papers and paintings I used were 30 years old! I just couldn’t throw these things away! These bits and pieces from the past were brought into the future, reframed and newly appreciated. I love the symbolism is this! Hope is Alive! If you have a specific question about an item please come visit me at the studio to view in person, or you can message me to request a specific item. The 4” and 2” acrylic pieces are shown as a batch, but if you want a specific one, just let me know!
In this series you with find many shapes and sizes. Each is made with hand created marbled papers, globs of studio paint, and painted papers each of these crafted hearts is unique. Many are sculptural in nature extending from the surface with unusual textures. Some have acrylic pour on top and do not have glass and others are framed in shadow boxes and custom frames.
