On a recent trip to Kansas, I was blown away with the beautiful sunflower fields! I was inspired to include them in my latest piece. I’ve been pushing the boundaries between the bright floral backgrounds I love and the animal subjects I choose. In my latest pieces the flowers are spilling over into the animal’s bodies creating a tattooed look. This elephant painting is my number one favorite theme of mother and child. I sang “you are my sunshine” to my babies and the song perfectly captures the emotion of this maternal love. The reproduction is 10x11” on a 12” paper it is signed and numbered and ready to mat and frame.
