Namaste. The light in me honors the light in you.
This heavenly meeting between Eve and Mary show both women pregnant with purpose and honoring one another face to face. I created this piece in response to an icon of Mary and Eve in which shamed Eve was naked with a snake wrapped around her leg. Mary was clothed and offering Eve grace. My hope in this piece is to undo the damage of shame and to present them as equals and in honor.
The Light in Me Honors The Light in You
Eve and Mary meet. The mother of all men and the mother of God honor one another as the curtain of time is opened. Eve is clothed in the fabric of the garden, while Mary wears the nations. Each woman fulfills her purpose of birthing God's destiny and purpose in their time. They honor one another and know they both did their part.
